Chris
became involved with the Institution through his concerns
for industry training, development of existing skills, and
the need for better industry representation. After joining
the institution he quickly became involved with the
activities and endeavours of the Board that led to his
current position of President.
Chris
spent 15 years working for AGL gaining experience in all
facets of the industry including installation, appliance
servicing, distribution and management. Eventually deciding
to utilise his experience in his own business, Chris started
a small gas retail outlet employing 2 people, this has now
evolved into Macarthur Gas where Chris is the Managing
Director employing in excess of 80 people.
Although
his passion for excellence has led to this remarkable
growth, it has also driven his desire to see the Gas
industry receives the continued recognition it deserves for
quality and safety.
